- Forbidden Ground: The National Mall, National Museums, and Federal Buildings are all Off-limits. Special arrangements through the Prince must be obtained before any kindred who cares about Cam hospitality may enter.
- Domain Boundaries: The domain's boundaries co-incide with the boundaries of Washington, DC itself. Nearby suburbs, such as Silver Spring, College Park, or Bethesda belong to the domain of Annapolis.
- The Spirit Grid: An occult phenomenon, known as "the spirit grid" prevents all but the most powerful of spirits from manifesting within the District. New Spirits may not enter within the city's boundaries, nor may existing spirits depart. This grid encompasses all of the domain's boundaries.
- Eat Food: A side effect of the Spirit Grid is a merit automatically obtained by those who step foot within the city: they are overtaken by a strong and unexpected craving for their favorite mortal food and, surprisingly, the ability to indulge that craving. (ooc: While within the city's boundaries, all kindred have the Eat Food merit.) Permanent residents (ooc: those who dwell in the city for 6 months straight) acquire this strange ability permanently. Visitors revert to their normal tolerance for solid food as soon as they depart the city's limits.
- Elders' Playgrounds:The National Zoo was the exclusive territory of a gangrel Elder, Garman (claimed to be dead). The Library of Congress is claimed by a Brujah Elder, named Gregorie. Unless they like anoying elders and risk being squished to an ashy pulp, neonates (or other non-elders) don't go to these places.

Rumors
The following items are bits of urban legend, rumor, and lore that floats around the city. Some is known by the mortal population. Some is rooted in real individuals and incidents, others are complete and utter foolishness. Generally, one must have at least one level of History, Occult, or Academics to be familiar with these rumors, though they may also be introduced through IC conversations. Additional rumors may be available, through an ST, for characters with Lore: DC or a DC specialization to another ability.
